Ambassadors of Russia and Belarus to Sweden will not be invited to the ceremony to present the Nobel Prizes for 2022, which will be held on December 10 in Stockholm. This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the Nobel Foundation.
The statement says that "the Nobel Foundation invites ambassadors based in Sweden, but due to the Russian special operation in Ukraine, the Foundation has decided not to invite Ambassadors of Russia and Belarus to the presentation of the Nobel Prize in Stockholm.
The presentation of the Nobel prizes is always held on December 10, the day of death of the prize founder Alfred Nobel (1833-1896).
