The TIBO Internet Award has started accepting applications. This information is posted on the official website of the international forum on ICT and exhibition TIBO, BelTA informs.
Applications will be accepted until March 20. A special section, devoted to the competition, has been created on the official website of the forum. The owner or developer of an Internet resource may apply for the prize using the registration form.
The competition is organized by the Ministry of Communications and Informatization, the Ministry of Information and "Technics and Communications" CJSC.
This year's contest is held in 10 main categories: "Public Administration and Authorities", "Education and Science", "Information Resource", "Corporate Internet Resources", "Internet Commerce", "Tourism and Recreation", "Sports", "Health and Medicine", "For Children and Youth", "Corporate Accounts in Social Networks".
This year, the jury has an additional right to nominate any Belarusian Internet resource, worthy and deserving in their opinion, for the competition award. The decision on each of the nominated resources is made by voting of the jury members at the final meeting.
The TIBO Internet Award has been held annually in Belarus since 2003. The main objectives of the competition are to popularize the best Internet resources and to contribute to the development of the national segment of the global Internet as a medium for promotion of goods and services, professional activities, creativity, recreation, and communication. About 9 thousand Belarusian Internet resources have participated in the contest since its launch.
The awarding ceremony will be held during the TIBO forum on April 18-21 in Minsk. Traditionally, the awards ceremony will be attended by the heads of the relevant ministries and agencies, and public organizations.
