Belarus will provide humanitarian aid to Syria: trucks, baby food and clothing. The delivery of Belarusian humanitarian aid to the Syrian port of Latakia will be handled by the Ministry of Emergency Situations and will be financed from the budget. According to Deputy Minister for Emergency Situations of Belarus Alexander Khudoleev, the cost of the humanitarian aid is half a million rubles. The relevant resolution was adopted by the Council of Ministers on 8 August. The Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Industry and a number of Belarusian enterprises assist the organization of humanitarian aid.
This is the third delivery of humanitarian aid from the Belarusian side. A year ago 45 tons of essential goods were sent to Syria.
