Polish border guards leave another refugee to die
10 января 2022
A blatant incident occurred on the Belarusian-Polish border: in the morning of January 7, our patrol found a man with obvious signs of hypothermia and on the verge of agonizing death. He was provided with emergency aid. It turned out that the refugee had been detained by Polish border guards: his personal belongings, money and SIM card had been taken from him. He was refused help and asylum. Then they forced him to crawl under coils of barbed wire to the Belarusian side. Here, a dozen meters from the Polish border guards, he was left to die: his requests for help were mockingly ignored. This was not the first such case: the exact number of refugees who were victims of the Polish border guards' arbitrariness is not known - but there are no less than two dozen of them, and Emil Czeczko, who sought asylum in Belarus, insists that there are even more than a hundred of such victims.
