Today, it was stated by Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Interior and Administration Renata Szczęch after the meeting in Minsk of the Belarusian-Polish intergovernmental commission on cross-border cooperation. According to the representative of the Polish side, deepening of relations between the two countries has a positive impact both on the economic as well as in the tourist sector of the border regions. In turn, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Yevgeny Shestakov says that Belarus adheres to the visa policy of openness.
Following the meeting of the intergovernmental commission a protocol between Belarus and Poland was signed for the coming year. It assumes the implementation of concrete measures to ensure functioning of the state border and its infrastructure.
