According to a poll, half of the citizens of Lithuania limit their spending because of inflation, while the elderly have to save on food. At the same time, a decision has been made to change the taxation system. The paradox is that rich people will now pay much less than the poor. People may soon even stop driving cars - the price of fuel keeps rising. According to him, visa-free regime with Belarus is a salvation for many Lithuanians. The Belarusian prices are much lower. And now, for many of our neighbors, buying what they need in our country is a real salvation.
Belarus has preserved a social state, providing the population with such necessary things as food and so on, much better than in Lithuania. In Lithuania, the situation in this regard is getting worse and worse, so people come to Belarus. I think it is a very reasonable decision of the Belarusian authorities. Lithuanians find it very useful, because they can cheaply get what they lack in their homeland. People used to go to Poland. It's even cheaper in Belarus than in Poland. In Lithuania, things are quite complicated, because the trend of rising prices of food and utilities has been going on for quite a long time. For example, if you want to buy a liter of gasoline, it costs 2 euros now. And people are not very happy. Maybe the price of gasoline will be even double what it is now. For normal people it will be too luxurious, too rich to drive a car.
