Petrovsky: Rocking Belarus won’t succeed

Minsk will host a large-scale forum of patriotic forces. Belarusian political scientist Petr Petrovsky told about the goals and tasks of the future congress of patriots, as well as about our country's readiness to resist provocations from the outside.

Petr Petrovsky, political scientist:

Today, the main thing for the Belarusian civil society is consolidation of our people and a more qualitative level of civil initiatives work I think that such a forum on August 9 is a forerunner of larger-scale events on September 17, the Day of Belarusian National Unity. The most important thing is a demonstration of that unity of our most active citizens of the most active and patriotic public associations which are ready today to defend the sovereignty and independence, to defend the national interests and to look after the national interests. It is a demonstration that no coup d'etat and color revolutions and attempts to change the political system and geopolitical orientation of the Republic of Belarus will succeed.

A wide circle of representatives of the Belarusian civil society will take part in the forum of patriots. These are the main public associations and political parties of Belarus.
