By Antonina Stankevich: Four looks for people with disabilities were presented – the evening, business, daily, and sports ones. The collection was designed by Ekaterina Tikota. Paralympians, public figures, and media persons became models that presented the clothes.
All the clothes are designed so as to be convenient for people in wheelchairs. Jeans alone have 18 modifications to make them more comfortable. The collection looks fashionable and stylish, and anyone can wear these clothes.
Sasha Avdevich, a traveler, the author of the idea, and the organizer of the show was among the models, too.
Designing and tailoring the fashion collection took several months. Now, the clothes will be tested by the target group. Some details will probably need changing. And then the designers will be able to put the collection into mass production.
Currently, there are 20,000 people with disabilities in Belarus, and the demand for special clothes exists. However, this project started as a social campaign. And it is possible that the price of such clothes will differ from an average price tag.
