Almost a hundred teams from all over the country took part in it. The participants had five hours to take pictures of as many different types of birds as possible. They laid the routes independently. To score the maximum number of points, one must not only take a good picture, but also determine the type of the bird.
Competitions in this format were held for the first time. Previously, such championships were conducted in spring and autumn in different cities.
