The Eighth Forum of Belarusian and Russian Regions is now actively working. The main task this year is to give a new impetus to the development of digitalization and the scientific and technical space in the Union State. Both countries are interested in finding new points of growth, in particular in education and science. Thus, during today's discussions it was agreed to create a unified register of technoparks of the Union State; this platform will allow potential investors to quickly find partners for joint projects both in Belarus and Russia. Special attention is also paid to the interaction of business circles. The participants of the session discussed the prospects of business cooperation.
Young lawmakers of Belarus and Russia sign cooperation agreement
For the first time, the forum included a joint session of youth parliaments under the Council of the Republic and the Federation Council; an agreement on partnership and cooperation was signed. Thus, young lawmakers intend to implement a number of projects for the preservation of historical memory. A new impetus will be given to the "Digital Star", the project introduces the events of the Great Patriotic War in the language of gadgets: the documents are digitized and placed on electronic resources. It is planned to scale the program "Urban Innovations", which will bring additional comfort to the streets of the cities and help make them more technologically advanced and comfortable.
Egor Makarevich, Chairman of the Youth Parliament at National Assembly of Belarus:
Today, the voice of young people should also be heard in international organizations, for example, the European Youth Parliament. The voice of the Belarusian and Russian youth should be heard there, too. Therefore we would like the agreement to be as productive as possible. Everything that we have planned is aimed at every young person, both in Belarus and Russia.
