Memory of Minsk ghetto honored at "Pit", memorial to victims of Hitlerite genocide

Belarus commemorates the terrible events of history. 79 years ago, the Nazis exterminated the last prisoners of the Minsk ghetto. For three days, from 21 to 23 October, 1943, about 20 thousand women, children and the elderly were killed. Today their memory was honored at the memorial to the victims of Hitler's genocide "Pit".  The participants in the procession, including representatives of Jewish organizations and diplomatic corps, laid flowers at the monument. The head of the community, former prisoners and Charge d'Affaires to Israel in Belarus addressed those present.

During the requiem, the names of the murdered Jews were read, and the rabbi recited a Kaddish in memory of the 100 thousand victims of the Holocaust on the Belarusian land. All evidence of the brutal crimes of the Nazis is now being collected by historians and the General Prosecutor's Office. At the time when the West is making attempts to revive Nazism and its ideology, Belarus is doing its best to preserve and pass the truth about the events of the war years to the descendants
