Belarusians can evaluate work of housing maintenance services and executive committees on-line

By Ksenia Lebedeva: A special web portal was launched in a test mode where everyone can send their feedback and assessment of the work of housing maintenance services and executive committees. This will help build up a rating of every organization and specify the services that quickly and efficiently, as well as help eliminate the shortcomings in its work. To take part in the project, one needs access to the Internet to register on the website, where the only requirement is indicating your e-mail. Then, users can post their ratings, write reviews and, if necessary, upload photos as evidence.

It was suggested to assess the simplicity and clarity of the service, the availability of information about it, the terms of implementation, and the politeness of the employees. Each organization can alter these criteria as they see fit.

At the moment, the system works in a way that reviews will not be seen by anyone other than the addressee organization. The general public can only view the average rating. However, in the future this is expected to change.

Igor Mikhailovsky, the Director of the Institute of Applied Software Systems: "This is one of the steps that improves our lives and allows us to communicate efficiently with those who provide services to us. At the moment, the service is working in a test mode, but all the ratings and reviews we are getting now will be taken into account."

At this stage, the site is still being developed. Over 30,000 state organizations that render public services are listed there. Therefore, the efficiency and politeness, marked in the rating, can become a good stimulus for these services to improve. Comments can be sent to any state organization without any limits provided the user has been checked by the moderators. The portal will be fully operational in mid-2018.
