The international crew will leave for the ISS tomorrow on Soyuz spacecraft. A native of Cherven, Oleg Novitsky, will work as a commander. This mission will be the 3rd one in the career of our compatriot. The cosmonaut spoke about the long preparation process and the main tasks of the upcoming expedition in an interview with our TV channel.
Oleg Novitsky, pilot-cosmonaut: "The preparation was tense due to coronavirus. 2 weeks must be spent in isolation before the training classes.
This is the third flight. We have a plan for the prelaunch preparation at the cosmodrome. Here we also carry out training in manual modes, communicate with our colleagues, now I will have classes with the European Space Agency, new equipment will be packed into our spacecraft.
We have a lot of tasks. As usual, we run 45-55 experiments during each expedition. The main emphasis, of course, will be placed on maintaining the operation of the station, its systems, with regard to the Russian segment. It will take 60-70% of the working time."
