Recalculations of minimum and social pensions in Belarus to be made on 1 August and 1 November

Today, a meeting of the two chambers of the Belarusian parliament took place, where Deputy Prime Minister Vasily Zharko announced that regular recalculations of minimum and social pensions in Belarus are expected to be made on 1 August and 1 November.

Also, the government answered questions from deputies and senators. The main task is to prevent a decrease in the standards of living. Therefore, it is crucial to preserve the ratio of the average pension to the average salary at a level of at least 40%. Reforms in Belarusian school education were discussed, as well. Vasily Zharko assured that the reforms will be reasonable. He also stressed that he was a supporter of the idea of classes starting at 9 am. As for parents, they should coordinate their work schedule with the employer.

Also, by 2020, the problem of accessibility of kindergartens will be solved in Belarus. This year, 14 new preschools for more than 2,500 kids are expected to be opened.
