The next stage of the "Zapad-2021" exercise took place at the Brest training range. Three hundred military personnel and four dozen pieces of military equipment took part in it.

The main part of the echelon took off from the military airfield Kresty near Pskov. They overcame about a thousand kilometers, and already in the Belarusian sky they were joined by our aircraft with half a hundred fighters of special operations forces. The task o was to land on the territory temporarily seized by a conventional enemy, to take the most important lines and deter the enemy until the main forces approach.

For the first time the Kazakh contingent took part in such a specific maneuver together with the Belarusian and Russian troops and showed its compatibility. According to a preliminary assessment, the equipment and personnel landed precisely in the intended area.

The command will give its first assessment of the troops' actions tomorrow morning. We can already say that the accuracy of the landing made it possible to reduce the perimeter of the equipment and the time for subsequent tactical operations. This means that the joint combat training is yielding positive results and allowing us to improve our skills.
