The work of the antimonopoly authorities in the CIS countries during the pandemic was discussed today at the meeting of the Interstate Council on Antimonopoly Policy. It was dedicated to the development of competition and, if necessary, regulation of prices. Taking into account that world food prices are breaking 7-year records and a quarter increase has already been recorded, our country has limited the increase in cost of basic foodstuffs since March: dairy, meat, cereals, butter, vegetables. Belarus pursues two goals: the availability of these goods for their customers and their uninterrupted supply to trade. Each increase in the price of overweight imports is considered separately, both the world situation and logistics costs are taken into account. It is also important today to have the necessary drugs on the CIS market. Each of the countries will share its vision of solving these problems.
