The population of Minsk does not catch up with such big cities as Moscow, New York or Tokyo, and will remain in the range of two million people. This rule is provided by the new General Plan of the capital. The absolute majority of new houses will appear in the satellite cities: Rudenskaya, Fanipol, Zaslavl and Smolevichi - potential settlers metropolitan area will include nearly 120 thousand of people.
The new document also regulates the procedure for landscaping, beautification, development of road transport network of the capital.
