We continue to monitor the situation on the Belarusian-Polish border. Exhausted by cold and inhumane attitude of European democracy, refugees have been waiting on the concrete and in subzero temperatures for more than a week for the decisions of the Polish authorities.
It is already the eighth night that refugees have to spend practically sleepless nights near the "Bruzgi" checkpoint. People, including children and pregnant women, have to camp out on the bare concrete in freezing temperatures. It is simply impossible to sleep in such conditions. Foreigners crossed over to the checkpoint at the border with Poland the day before from the main camp and formed a new one. Only yesterday all these people were sure that they would spend the next day in the territory of the European Union, particularly in Germany. That is where most of the refugees from their countries, which had been devastated by the war, are going. However, there was no "warm" and "hospitable" welcome from the democratic Poland. Instead, the Polish side kept reminding the frozen and destitute people all night long that they were not going to be welcomed and urged them to go back in various languages from the loudspeaker.
In addition, one could hear children crying and coughing incessantly all night long in the new refugee camp. No wonder, as even adults get ill after a week of living in the cold, not to mention babies, some of them only a few months old.
And it is these unarmed, unfortunate people that official Warsaw is so afraid of and reinforces the fence at the border.
