The President of Belarus extends deep condolences to the relatives, friends and colleagues of People's Artist of Russia Dmitri Hvorostovsky. The Head of State notes that the singer’s work is known, loved and highly appreciated in Belarus. "The untimely passing of this man, whose activity inspired and gave exclusively positive emotions, is irreplaceable loss for all of us," emphasizes Alexander Lukashenko.
Dmitri Hvorostovsky visited Belarus many times. He conducted a master class at the Belarusian Academy of Music. He also performed on the stage of the Palace of the Republic more than once.
In March 2017, another concert was to be held in the Belarusian capital, but due to the deterioration of the artist's health, it was canceled. Dmitri Hvorostovsky will be buried at the Novodevichy Cemetery in Moscow.
