Isachenko appointed national SDG coordinator

Anatoly Isachenko, Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus, has been appointed National Coordinator for Sustainable Development Goals. Marianna Shchetkina, who had previously held this position, has been dismissed. The relevant decree was signed by President Alexander Lukashenko. The Institute of National Coordinator was established in May 2017, 2 years after the goals of sustainable development were agreed upon by the heads of state at the UN summit.
