Moscow - Minsk is the most popular destination for airlines. Flights are expected to increase by 10-15% by the New Year. We also accept guests from Europe, foreign countries and Southeast Asia. Despite the restrictions, they choose Belarus. We remind you that we have introduced a visa-free regime.
Since the start of the visa-free regime, about 354,000 EU citizens have visited Belarus. This is the data of the Border Committee. Most of all, Lithuanian citizens entered the country - almost 230 thousand people, more than 106 thousand people came from Latvia, and about 18 thousand from Poland. Over the weekend, 3,858 foreigners entered Belarus without a visa, most of them citizens of Lithuania.
And Belarus has always been open. And no matter how Europe tries to escalate the situation now, throw in as many fakes as possible, they say, we live in poverty, the prices are fabulous, people come to Belarus. And compare the situation in our favor. Here is an elementary example. A resident of Riga arrived in the Belarusian capital on a visa-free basis, to put it mildly, she was surprised at the state of the underground passage. Streets and subways - something that is always in sight of every visitor. What if we go further? Since the beginning of the visa-free regime for residents of the neighboring EU countries, about 354,000 citizens have arrived in Belarus. We accept people from non-CIS countries and Southeast Asia. Despite the restrictions, especially for the New Year holidays, demand is growing.
The direction Moscow - Minsk is the most popular with airlines. They come to us from Southeast Asia and Europe
Denis Zhitkovich, head of production, RUE "National Airport":
"We expect the number of passengers to increase. After the European Union closed the sky for Belarusians, for Russian planes, passengers still began to look for some alternative routes and fly not only from Europe and from far abroad countries. There are different options, they fly through Istanbul, through Tbilisi."
And the most popular direction is Moscow - Minsk. The Russians are already actively buying tickets and book hotels. You can still jump into the last car, there are less than 4 weeks left before the New Year, but you should hurry.
Irina Dmukhovskaya, Director of Business Center "Stolitsa":
"To date, our hotels already have over 70% accurate reservations, there are also for the New Year holidays, from December 31 to January 10 inclusive. Basically, it is Russian citizens who book with us, 10-15% are Belarusians."
They come not only to see the sights of the country, but also for shopping. And, of course, they enjoy nature.
