MPs pass bill on reliable protection of personal data in Belarus at 8th session

Reliable protection of personal data – the MPs adopted the relevant bill at a meeting of the eighth session. The amendments are necessary in accordance with the adoption of the new Constitution draft, it will improve the processing of personal data and protect them from all kinds of leaks. 

Igor Martynov, Deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus:

We have been living with this law for more than half a year now, which puts the responsibility on those services and structures that are engaged in the collection and storage of personal data. We can see today that there are far fewer cases of fraudsters calling on behalf of, for example, banks. So the law really works.

Parliamentarians also approved  the bills on mortgages, on the rights of people with disabilities and their social integration, waste management and external labor migration.
