In accordance with a decree signed by the Belarusian President, the e-queue system will help improve the process of crossing the state border by individuals, vehicles and goods. Drivers will be able to pre-book the time of entry into the checkpoint via a special electronic resource. The link to the website is available on the official web portal of the State Border Committee. Those who do not use the service will be able to cross the border on a first come first served basis, as before.
Previously, the electronic queue system at border checkpoints operated in test mode and is expected to start operating in full within six months. The Council of Ministers has yet to determine the cost of the service and the checkpoints where it will be introduced in the first place.
