This was stated today by Speaker of the upper house of parliament Natalia Kochanova at an enlarged meeting of the Presidium of the Council of the Republic. On Thursday, senators held outreach receptions in rural councils and came to the conclusion that 70% of incoming issues can and should be resolved locally. According to the results of 2020 most of the appeals concerned housing and utilities sector, construction and land issues. At the same time, the number of enquiries concerning the construction of educational institutions for children has decreased, as last year a school for more than a thousand places was commissioned in the village of Kopische as well as eight new kindergartens. Several more facilities are under construction.
