Senators continue to monitor food prices. A chain of stores in Molodechno passed the test. A grocery basket of socially important goods: dairy products, sugar, vegetables, is under control. The monitoring showed a non-significant increase in prices for cucumbers and tomatoes in comparison with the last month. At the same time, the cost of potatoes has dropped. The same price remained for eggs. Prices for meat products and milk rose by 1-2%. In general, over the past year, the rise in prices for food products in Belarus amounted to only 12%, while the global rise is at the level of 30%.
Such monitoring takes place every month. Senators work together with the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation, local authorities and keep the situation with changes in prices for socially significant groups of goods under control.
