The young people of Belarus and Russia will jointly restore the places of collective memory of the victims of the Great Patriotic War. Joint projects for this year were discussed during a video conference between Moscow and Minsk. The online meeting is organized by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia. The Youth Chamber proposes to equip summer camps in the border areas. Another significant site to be restored by the Union State youth, will be Buinichskoye Field.
Sergey Klishevich, Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia on youth policy, sports and tourism:
"It is very important that we entrust this work of restoring monuments, implementing civic-patriotic projects to young people, not officials and some functionaries . Our task is to support finance and organization, to find contacts with regional departments of Russia and Belarus. "
Union project "Memory Train"
The All-Union project "Memory Train" will be continued. The parliamentarians are sure that it shall go to each settlement in Russia and Belarus, where there is a railroad. Thus, the young people will collect a complete picture of the confrontation of the Soviet people with the German invaders.
