Healthcare modernization in Belarus to be completed in next five-year period

Over the next five years, the modernization of the health care system will be completed in Belarus. This was stated by President Alexander Lukashenko while visiting the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Pediatric Oncology, Hematology, and Immunology in Borovlyany. The visit continued a series of visits by the head of state to the country's medical institutions. The President visited the young patients with the most difficult conditions. The center treats children and adolescents from all over Belarus. Alexander Lukashenko got acquainted with the work of the center and talked with the children who are treated in the hospital, as well as with the doctors.

"It's important for me to congratulate in person children and everyone who treats people on New Year. When a child is sick, it is intolerable for me. Nevertheless, these our children. Therefore, I decided to see how you treat them, and the conditions in which they are. It was very important for me to see everything with my own eyes."

The Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Pediatric Oncology was opened in 1997. It receives patients from several dozen countries. Belarusian treatment is provided free of charge.
