Opinions on draft law "On All-Belarusian People's Assembly" and law on changes to Electoral Code can be expressed until November 2

The public discussion of the draft laws "On All-Belarusian People's Assembly" and "On Amendments to the Electoral Code" continues in Belarus. Citizens are invited to express their opinions about important new documents until November 2.

According to the draft law, the All-Belarusian People's Assembly is the supreme representative body of the power of the people of Belarus, which defines strategic directions of development of the society and the state, secures firmness of the constitutional order, continuity of generations and civil accord.

Alexei Yegorov, Deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus: The emergence of this body significantly reforms the political system in terms of the subject composition, because All-Belarusian People's Assembly will include representatives of civil society. A special regulatory document on the foundations of civil society is being prepared. 

Public discussion was initiated by the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus. Proposals concerning the contents of the Draft Law may be submitted at the Legal Forum. They will be generalized and used for further improvement of the draft laws.
