The 5th peacekeeping exercise Unbreakable Brotherhood will feature soldiers from Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Russia and Tajikistan, which is a total of over 1,000 officers and soldiers from the six Collective Security Treaty Organisation member states, and over 5,000 aircrafts, armoured vehicles and automotive equipment units.
The exercise will take place in the Baranovichi district at the ObuzLesnovsky firing range. For the first time the CSTO collective peacekeeping forces have received the UN Security Council mandate and will be acting in a crisis region in cooperation with the UN mission.
The exercise is planned to be attended by representatives of the United Nations Secretariat and the International Committee of the Red Cross.
