Minsk celebrated 1025th anniversary of the Conversion of Russia

Yulia Cherginets: The procession went from St. Maria Magdalena Church to old Zamchishche district, where the first stone church of Minsk dating back to the 11th century is located. Many pilgrims covered hundreds of miles in order to join the procession. 80 leaders of Orthodox Church came to Minsk including the patriarchs of Alexandria, Jerusalem, Georgia, Serbia, Archbishop of Cyprus, metropolitans of Warsaw and America. A memorable charter laid into the foundation of the first stone church. It is dedicated to the 1025th anniversary of the Conversion of Russia. A concert of spiritual music will take place soon and then the celebrations will move to the Church of All Saints.
