Promising areas of cooperation in the sphere of culture of Belarus and Russia were discussed today at the National Library. A joint board of industry departments of the countries was held here. Among the breakthrough initiatives in joint work is the preservation of the historical and cultural heritage, cinematography, theatrical art, the museum sphere and the activities of libraries. During complex epidemiological situations, a new history of cultural cooperation is being written. The foundation is being laid on all key issues of humanitarian policy. By the way, this year the main activities have been postponed.

Olga Lyubimova, Minister of Culture of Russia: "We have deliberately postponed very important events, like the days of the Republic of Belarus in Moscow, which we are looking forward to in Russia."

Anatoly Markevich, Minister of Culture of Belarus: "We work together, we understand each other. Our people can feel the attention of the ministries of culture, and as we know, culture brings positive impulse."

The heads of cultural departments of Belarus and Russia outlined the main topics of interaction until 2023. A special place in the implementation of joint projects remains with the preservation of the memory of the Great Patriotic War, the victory in which is our common history.
