Unilateral sanctions violate the international law. This opinion was shared by the participants of the International Conference "The impact of global economic challenges on social and labor human rights. The forum was initiated by the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus. The conference is attended by leading experts in the field of international law, government representatives, political scientists, and heads of international trade union associations. The platform has brought together experts from Hungary, Spain, Russia, and other countries that disagree with the sanctions policy against Belarus. Today the challenges will be assessed and countermeasures will be developed. Today the level of unemployment remains stable. The state is fulfilling all its social obligations.
1 million 130 thousand Belarusians signed their protest against economic sanctions
The Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus has already sent applications to the International Labor Organization and the UN Council on Human Rights. An open letter on disagreement of workers with the introduction of economic sanctions, signed by more than 1 million Belarusians, was sent to the Council of the European Union.
