Local roads in Belarus to be improved on

Local roads in Belarus will be improved on. In Brest Region alone, about 2,000 km of roads will be repaired over the coming 3 years. Deputy Prime Minister Anatoly Kalinin stated this during his working trip to Mikashevichi where he visited the company Granite and talked to the company’s staff.

Anatoly Kalinin, the Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus: "The task set by the President is to improve on local roads. Over the next three years, we are to reconstruct 7,000 km of local roads, which is quite ambitious. We have raised the funds, and this year we expect to cope with at least 25-30% of the volume of the programme."

Anatoly Kalinin also held a reception of citizens. The most commonly discussed issues are those having to do with employment, the development of infrastructure, as well as urban transport and communications.
