Measures for effective counteraction to drug threat developed following meeting with President

Justice and an individual approach to each specific case are the main principles to combat drug crime. They were developed following the results of a meeting of the President and the representatives of law enforcement and law enforcement agencies at the end of October. The criteria for evaluating the work of law enforcement agencies were revised, attention was drawn to the relevance of punishment for a committed crime. A set of new measures provides the possibility of pardon and parole of prisoners in some cases. That statement was confirmed by Valery Mitskevich, Deputy Head of the Belarus President Administration.

However, the measure of repeated crime prosecution for those, who do not take advantage of parole, will be stricter.
