Medical sphere indicates health of entire state

The Belarusian medicine was making progress for the last 20 years. 

Gomel Center for Radiation Medicine was significantly improved. Belarus holds the 25th place in the world ranking table among the countries most comfortable for motherhood on the planet. We share the first place in the world with Brunei and Canada by the availability of medicine. And in terms of the number of transplants we are ahead of many EU countries.

The President met with the students of BSMU, where the dialogue lasted for almost 3 hours and was broadcasted in Minsk, Vitebsk, Grodno and Gomel Regions.

The most important thing is the quality of the system, which will be measured with the most objective indicators: the duration and quality of life of the Belarusians. The priority is the technical equipment of clinics and outpatient clinics.

Favorable conditions must be created to decrease the outflow of the specialists: university clinics, houses and apartments for young specialists in the regions (the problem will be solved in 3-4 years by the President's), salary increase and income transparency.

The salaries of doctors shall increase by 20% next year. Such pace has been set for next 5 years, so that doctors’s income growth reached 200% by 2025. The financing department will be modified from January 1. 

Another theme raised at the meeting concerned the outflow of the specialists. But it is claimed that only 150-200 out of 50000 doctors leave our country per year and part of them returns at the end: 40 specialist during the last year and 20 during the 1st half of this year. It is worth mentioning the President does not mind our specialists working abroad.

The attention was drawn to 2 more topics. The first is the junction of medicine and economics. The number of foreigners studying in Belarus will only increase.

The second topic is at the intersection of medicine, law and humanity. Alexander Lukashenko has announced an amnesty for the first time drug addict, despite the committed crime, parents' omission, harsh measures associated with crime decrease.
