The key to solving the food problem lies in the pragmatic policy of Belarus and Russia, which, despite unprecedented sanctions pressure, are ready to compromise and help with wheat supplies to the West, which needs it so much.
Malek Dudakov, American political scientist:
"The UN says there are about 10 weeks of wheat stocks left in the world, and then the food crisis will already worsen, especially in countries that are major consumers of wheat. It's not just the West, the Middle East, North Africa and so on. But the West is also directly tomorrow, because, firstly, prices will grow enormously there, and secondly, another migration crisis may aggravate with the flow of a large number of illegal migrants from these countries.
As for the position of Russia and Belarus, I see a lot of room for compromise here. Russia is ready to ensure the safety of navigation in the Black Sea, Belarus is ready to let food through its territory and so on. So here we see that both Moscow and Minsk have a very pragmatic, rational approach and are ready to compromise on issues where it comes to, for example, the global food security," said the political analyst.
