President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated scientists, workers of research institutes and institutions of higher education on Belarusian Science Day. This was reported to BelTA by the press service of the head of state.
"Today your professional achievements are an important driver of economic development of our independent country, one of the sources of growth of the people's welfare. Major national research schools have been formed and are successfully operating. The national security of the state is ensured with the most active involvement of scientists," the congratulatory message reads.
The head of state called talent and intellect backed by sincere patriotism the most valuable qualities of a scientist. "Such outstanding people cherish the best traditions and pass them to the younger generation along with the accumulated knowledge and experience," noted the Belarusian leader.
Alexander Lukashenko expressed the conviction that in the future the work of scientists based on a solid scientific basis and great love for the native land will contribute to the long-term development of Belarus.
The President wished the scientists strong health, happiness, creative success and new interesting discoveries.
