Lukashenko visits National Scientific and Practical Center for Surgery, Transplantology and Hematology and talks to doctors about prices, inflation, and events in Ukraine

The development of Belarusian transplantology is now in the focus of attention of the President. Alexander Lukashenko visited the National Scientific and Practical Center of Surgery, Transplantology and Hematology and met with the staff of the clinic. 

Development of transplantology in Belarus 

This is the leading medical institution in the country and one of the largest ones in Eastern Europe. The pandemic has not interrupted the development of new branches. In the last few years it started the construction of a new building for bone marrow and stem cell transplantation. It is expected to be commissioned next spring. Today, the President received the invitation to open the new building. Last year was the most successful for the clinic. Every fourth ruble earned on the export of medical services is the contribution of the Minsk Center. Belarusian medics are able to perform any operations, including the most complicated ones. 

By tradition, Alexander Lukashenko also visited the red zone. The President talked to the staff of the International Scientific and Practical Center. Afterwards, he answered the doctors' questions. The President spoke about further plans concerning modernization of medical institutions in the country as a whole and creation of university clinics. This experience will be continued. 

The President also spoke about urgent issues, including prices, inflation and foreign currency. Belarus has enough of it, we create an artificial currency boom. Alexander Lukashenko also shared his opinion as to what caused the events in Ukraine.

Today, high turnout at the early voting of the Constitution was observed. Alexander Lukashenko attributes it, among other things, to the big work that had been carried out in the country before the referendum.
