Another fact of inhuman treatment of refugees by the Lithuanian security forces was reported. According to the State Border Committee, on Saturday, the Lithuanian border guards found five Syrian citizens at the border line in Ivievsky District. One of them was unconscious. The men said that Lithuanian law enforcers detained them in the woods. They had not eaten for more than a day and were exhausted. But instead of this, the Lithuanians brought them to the Belarusian border and threatened them with physical violence, trying to drive them into the territory of Belarus. Our border guards immediately rendered the first aid to the foreigners and called for the paramedics. One of the refugees, with a body temperature of 33 degrees, was taken to the intensive care department of Ivievsky Central District Hospital. The doctors diagnosed him with hypothermia.
