The Belarusian and Russian markets are still attractive for Lithuanian transport companies, and local carriers hope to maintain them. According to the head of the Lithuanian Road Transport Association Romas Austinskas, today at least 10% of Lithuania's heavy haulage fleet transports cargo to Belarus and Russia.

The head of the Lithuanian Association of Road Transport says that despite the EU sanctions, the flow of goods has not stopped, as companies and countries have adapted to the new conditions. He added: Belarus has opened 17 points on its side where Lithuanian trucks can enter and reload goods for further transportation, and truckers use this opportunity.
