Forestry between Belarus and Poland is now under the protection of UNESCO. The joint nomination was approved less than an hour ago by the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage. For the first time in history, the 15th session is being held online due to the difficult epidemic situation. Forest beekeeping is an ancient craft that has survived in certain regions of our country to the present day. In Poland, this tradition was interrupted and is being restored today. They are made and placed high on trees in the forest. In Belarus, the element "Forest beekeeping of Polesie" has the status of historical and cultural value.
A year ago the Polesie rite "Yuryevsky Round Dance" was added to the UNESCO Intangible Heritage List. Also, the heritage list of a worldwide organization is "Kalyady Tsars" ritual and Budslav Festival.
