The icon and a reliquary with hallows of St. Sergius of Radonezh will be brought to Minsk for worship by the faithful on July 17, BelTA informs with reference to the Belarusian Orthodox Church.
The reliquary will be received at 16.50 in the Church of St. Sergius of Radonezh in Minsk, and at 17.00 there will be an all-night vigil. From July 18 to 20 the reliquary with the hallows will be available for worship of the faithful in this church from 7.00 to 22.00.
During the celebration of the 600th anniversary of uncovering of the relics of hegumen St. Sergius of Radonezh, the reliquary will arrive in the Belarusian Exarchate June 25 from the Holy Trinity Sergius Lavra. Believers from all the dioceses of the Belarusian Orthodox Church will be able to worship the hallows until August 8. The shrine has already been in Molodechno, Lida, Novogrudok, Grodno, Brest and Pinsk dioceses. Now the reliquary is in Turov diocese, from July 15 to 17 it will stay in Slutsk diocese.
After Minsk, the reliquary with hallows will be transferred to Bobruisk (July 21-23), Gomel (July 24-26), Mogilev (July 27-30), Borisov (July 31 - August 2), Polotsk (August 3-5) and Vitebsk (August 5-8) dioceses.
