Reliquary with hallows of Blessed Matrona of Moscow and an icon of the saint arrived in the diocese of Borisov. The spiritual relics were brought to Belarus from the Elista and Kalmyk diocese, where the hallows are kept.
The stay of the relics of one of the revered and beloved Orthodox saints was blessed by Metropolitan of Minsk and Zaslavl Beniamin, Patriarch Exarch of all Belarus.
Until November 9, the reliquary with the icon will be in Borisov and will again be presented for worship in all seven churches of the city. Afterwards the relics of Saint Matrona will be brought to the Orthodox parishes of Borisov diocese.
Presumably, the spiritual journey will continue in the Belarusian capital and the churches of Minsk district.
The main place of worship of the relics of Blessed Matrona of Moscow is the Pokrovsky Monastery in Moscow. Particles of the righteous woman are also kept in some other Orthodox churches in Russia.
