Local authorities should not ignore applications and complaints of citizens, said the Chairperson of the Council of the Republic, Natalia Kochanova, as BelTA reports.

On November 17, the Council Speaker held a personal reception of citizens, including individual entrepreneurs and representatives of legal entities. The reception was held in Minsk in the building of the Council of the Republic. Traditionally, there is a lot of people willing to get an appointment with Natalia Kochanova, so pre-registration was organized.

Overhaul, rental housing. Many issues could be solved locally, but people, not getting support from local authorities, are forced to escalate them at a higher level.

"You create problems for yourself out of a clear sky," Natalia Kochanova said, referring to the city administration officials present at the reception. - Why don't you respond to citizens' appeals and complaints? This shows a very low professionalism of your employees. If the administration of the area cannot make any decision, there are deputies. And it is unacceptable when housing services or district administrations send people to courts instead of solving problems."

The reception of citizens began on November 17 at 10:00 and will traditionally continue until the last applicant.
