The head of the Belarusian Defense Ministry urged Kiev not to provoke Minsk. This is about the ongoing reports about an allegedly prepared attack from our side. According to Viktor Khrenin, Belarus does not intend to go to war with its neighbors and will not do so in the absence of improper steps on their part.
Viktor Khrenin, the Minister of Defense of Belarus:
We had and still have one answer to this: don't provoke us - we are not going to go to war with you. We do not want to go to war with neither Lithuanians, nor Poles, let alone Ukrainians. If you also do not want and will not take the wrong steps, then there will be no war. Our plans are plans of defense. In case we are attacked, if even one meter of the Belarusian soil is subjected to aggression, the answer will be immediate and harsh. So once again we warn against provocations.
The Minister of Defense stressed in particular that the Armed Forces of Belarus will do everything to ensure the security of the country.
