Within the framework of the "Let's get children ready for school" national charity event, special attention is paid to children from large and single-parent families, children with disabilities, and children of refugees and forced migrants from Ukraine. On the eve of the Day of Knowledge, 8 children from six Ukrainian families received backpacks with a full set of stationery.

These are the children who were forced to leave their homeland together with their parents and found a second home and, perhaps, a second homeland in our land. "There are no strangers to the Belarusians," assures deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly Elena Potapova. - And these children also go to school, they also want a holiday, a happy, peaceful, joyful life. And without school and without preparation for it, it's impossible.

Natalia Tolkacheva, head of Grodno regional organization of the Belarusian Red Cross:

276 families from Ukraine have applied to the Red Cross in Grodno Region for support, with 74 children in these families. All of them will be helped to go to school with joyful emotions.

The Republican Charity Campaign "Let's take children to school" runs from August 1 to September 15.
