While some were clamoring for radical change, others were industriously building their future. They knew how much effort had been put into the country's establishment, so that it could live and grow freely and independently developing the economy, agriculture, social and road infrastructure. And we also withstood the blow of the pandemic. We did not close businesses, allowed people to work, found new markets. And medics have done everything to contain the spread of the virus. The country has created all the conditions for this. The development of health care is still a priority.
For example in Gomel Region, last year was also marked by large-scale projects in the cultural sphere. The Zhlobin Local History Museum was opened after reconstruction. In Dobrush, the Palace of Culture was opened after overhaul. Absolutely everything was renovated, from floors and communications to lighting and furniture.
New and renewed facilities were also received by the medical staff. The medical building of the regional tuberculosis hospital was repaired and an oxygen station was installed. Several health centers in Gomel and it districts received computer tomographs. The surgical unit of the 3rd city hospital has been modernized. And these are just a few of the many aspects of medical development in the regions.
Within the framework of the program of social and economic development of the country ending 2025, 8 outpatient clinics and 11 regional clinical hospitals are to be constructed. 12 interregional centers will be created to provide specialized medical care.
Digitalization of medicine will continue, and treatment will be carried out with the use of information and communication technologies. At the same time, work is being done to upgrade the road infrastructure.
All this is what people need. All this is the result of great work by Belarusians. All this is the support and result of the state policy. All this is what we must not lose.
Every country has enough problems, but all of them can be solved through dialogue. The Belarusians have proved that our country remains a bastion of peace. And we have the opportunity to work, to study and to develop together with our country.
