The state school standard is meant to strengthen order and discipline at school, to provide a safe environment, and to improve the quality of general secondary education. The document came into force on September 1 this year. It regulates all relationships within the school, from the organization of the lesson to the appearance of the teacher and student. There is a separate chapter on safe learning conditions: uncontrolled visits to the territory are excluded. The procedure for dealing with conflict situations is also provided - the class teachers and school psychologists will be involved in solving them. If desired, parents can also intervene. To do this, it is necessary to apply to the specially created commission for resolving controversial situations. Special attention is paid to the use of mobile means.
Valentina Ginchuk, Director of the National Institute of Education of Belarus:
“Our new teaching aids have QR codes and links to electronic resources, but the standard prescribes that it is possible to use mobile means, but with the permission of the teacher. And it is right, because it is the teacher who determines whether or not to use this or that electronic device from the point of view of the purpose of the lesson and the methods of its conducting.”
The document was developed on behalf of the head of state and meets the requirements of the updated Code of Education and the Constitution of Belarus.
