People and entire countries help each other during pandemic

Each patient with a diagnosis of coronavirus is taken into account by the international statistics.  Their treatment is also under international control. Everyone is looking for a vaccine and ways to effectively combat the virus.

Assistance from Belarus was sent to different parts of the world. It includes medicines and personal protective equipment. The goods are distributed in regions, depending on the epidemiological situation.

The plane from Qatar landed at Minsk airport on June 25. It contained more than 7 tons of masks, gloves, suits and disinfectants. This is the third batch of humanitarian aid this week. 2 more planes from Serbia arrived in Belarus on Monday. The country received humanitarian aid for more than 42 million rubles over the past 2 months.

There are six ventilation machines and endoscopes, bronchoscopes, personal protective equipment that will go to hospitals.  

Boris Androsyuk, Deputy Minister of Health of Belarus: “We keep in touch with the European Union, with China, and, as a rule, they ask what we need first and see what they can supply.”

Infectious hospitals are equipped with mechanical ventilation devices. And the cost of one mechanical ventilation is from 25,000 euros to 50,000 euros. 

The protective equipment and disinfectors are in high demand.  

Boris Androsyuk, Deputy Minister of Health of Belarus: “About 8 million medical masks are produced and stored in pharmacy warehouses in the country, about 6 million ones are in Belmedtekhnika, and 7 million are already in the regions.”

Belarusians sent gloves, masks, protective suits, as well as antibiotics and disinfectants to China in winter.  Despite the closed borders, humanitarian aid aircraft continued to fly throughoutall spring and summer.
