More than 32 thousand people pass coronavirus test in Belarus

Not only epidemiologists, but also lawyers and accountants work in the National Research Center of Epidemiology. Their task is to order the necessary reagents for bio-materials research in time.

Alexander Petkevich, Head of Organizational and Methodological Department of Epidemiology and Microbiology: "The drugs that are being created today are new, they are new for a new infection, we do not always know their full characteristics and therefore we work with Russian, and our own test systems, if we have a positive result, we double-check it." 

Some of the patient tests are processed at the infectious diseases hospital. By the way, Belarus is one of the few countries, which preserved the Chair of Infectious Diseases at Medical University. Despite the fact that work with new and rare viruses is considered dangerous, the main motivation for young people is to get a job here.
